THE RECLAIM is a fashion collection that challenges narratives and stereotypes surrounding Black identity. Inspired by the clothing Colin Campbell grew up wearing in the Bronx, the project examines how perceptions of professionalism and formality shift depending on the race of the wearer. Typography will appear on T-shirts, featuring reclaimed words and phrases — like “aggressive” — that have historically been weaponized against Black communities.

The rest of the collection, including hoodies, jeans, fitted caps, durags, and bonnets, draws inspiration from these culturally significant garments. Through a personal twist on streetwear, The Reclaim celebrates Black culture while questioning the biases that shape how it is perceived. Each piece functions as a form of resistance and pride, transforming familiar silhouettes into statements of identity. This collection invites viewers to reconsider how clothing can confront stereotypes, reclaim narratives, and affirm the richness ~d complexity of Black experiences.
